We have chosen a naturally processed coffee: full of aromatics and low in acidity. This coffee is distinct and sweet. It is roasted for espresso and filter. Genesis is our tribute to coffee: a new constant in our portfolio.

Tasting Genesis, expect notes of peach, black tea, and chocolate. The classic floral character of Yirgacheffe can be found in a delicate note of jasmine. Honey-like sweetness and mellow acidity make Genesis delicious adaptable, try it black or with milk.

Fruchtig, schokoladig und sehr angenehm

Der Genesis Kaffee hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Er ist schön aromatisch, angenehm süß und überhaupt nicht zu sauer. Die fruchtigen Noten erinnern tatsächlich etwas an Pfirsich, dazu kommt eine feine schokoladige Note. Besonders als Espresso schmeckt er mir sehr gut. Ein ausgewogener, interessanter Kaffee, den ich gerne wieder kaufen würde

Love at first sip

I received a sample through *Standart* magazine and fell in love with it. It has a silky, chocolatey, and gently sweet profile; the only downside is that they don't ship to Chile, so I can't order more to keep enjoying it. But it is highly recommended—I loved it.

Boring Ethiopian with redeeming values

Not at all what I expect from a Yirgacheffe. The stars I gave it, was because of the smooth mouthfeel, and the fact that the pear tasting note is spot on, even though the taste is boring.

Wirklich Teil des Abos?

Schmeckt nicht schlecht, aber auch nicht besonders herausragend gegenüber den anderen Bohnen von the Barn. In Summe etwas schade einen Standard-Kaffee im Abo zu erhalten. Diese hier sind so stark geröstet, dass Frucht leider nur wenig durchkommt.

Wirklich als Hausmarke?

Ich trinke seit vielen Jahren zu etwa 70% Kaffees aus Äthiopien in Röstung von namhaften Röstereien (Filterausarz+Papierfilter). Die Röstung für " GENESIS" finde ich etwas zu dunkel geraten und vom Geschmack her fehlt es etwas am fruchtigen Säurekörper....wäre nach meiner Erfahrung kein optimales Aushängeschild für aussergwöhnlichen Kaffeegenuss nach optimalen Röstgrad....

Amazing!

For a "regular" coffee, Genesis has an amazing aroma and flavor that defied my expectations--amazing! It will definitely be a regular part of our coffee lifestyle, and maybe even take the place of our Roaster's Choice subscription--it is that good!
