This exceptional single origin coffee captures the clarity and elegance that make coffee from Rwanda so distinctive. Grown at high altitude and carefully washed, the Bourbon variety produces a cup with remarkable sweetness and precision. Rich milk chocolate forms the foundation, lifted by bright cranberry acidity and delicate notes of fragrant cardamom. As the coffee cools, layers of sweet orange and dark cherry emerge, adding depth and complexity. The result is a clean, expressive cup with a silky texture and vibrant fruit character that remains beautifully balanced from the first sip to the last.
Huye Mountain is one of the most celebrated coffee origins in Rwanda, led by producer David Rubanzangabo, a pioneer of specialty coffee in the country and a multiple Cup of Excellence winner.
Located in the renowned Huye District, the farm benefits from high elevations, fertile soils and a favourable climate that consistently produce outstanding Arabica coffee. David divided Huye Mountain into seven distinct growing zones, recognising the unique character each area brings to the cup. His commitment extends beyond quality, with social premiums and quality incentives supporting the farming families he works alongside. Our long-standing relationship with David continues to deliver exceptional coffees that reflect both his dedication and Rwanda's remarkable potential.



Only fully ripe cherries are handpicked before being delivered to the Huye Mountain washing station, where meticulous sorting and quality control begin immediately. After pulping, the coffee undergoes fermentation before being thoroughly washed to remove the remaining fruit.
The beans are then slowly dried on raised African beds, allowing moisture to reduce evenly while preserving clarity and sweetness. This careful washed coffee process highlights the vibrant fruit character, refined acidity and clean finish that have become the hallmark of Huye Mountain, resulting in a cup with exceptional balance and transparency.

This is honestly my favourite coffee. It has just the right amount of acidity. Bright and lively, but never too sharp. The aroma is beautiful, and the flavour is always clear, elegant and very recognisable.
What I especially love is that it keeps its character even through milk. You can still taste that cranberry brightness and chocolate sweetness, which makes it stand out from many other coffees. A very consistent, memorable and genuinely enjoyable cup every time.

Amazing coffee, good on any burrs you run it through, when brewed as turbo shot, it becomes a fruit bomb with elegant acidity. Perfect as straight espresso.
